The Dream Last Cd Love King

Singer/songwriter The-Dream announced via his Twitter page yesterday (July 23) that his third studio album, "Love King," slated for a late 2009 release, will be his last.

"I am engaged and 'Love King' IS going to be my LAST album!" he tweeted. In a subsequent post, The-Dream explained, "It is going to be [his] last bcuz, everybody is trying to 'KILL THE DREAM!' [The Dream is] the ONLY one that can end [his] career," although he did clarify he "will still be producing, writing, and featuring on other artist albums though."

During a video interview with Vlad.tv that has been making its rounds on the internet recently, The-Dream said he has finished recording three additional records for the deluxe edition of his sophomore album, "Love Vs. Money," although no release date has been announced yet. The singer talked about his desire to add songs that would make the album "more upbeat 'cause it was a real dark album," stating that one of the new tracks is titled "Hit In On The Road," a "real fun" record.

The-Dream is said to be in the studio with Mariah Carey, working on her upcoming album, "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel," among others. The first single, "Obsessed," co-written and produced by Carey, The-Dream and Christopher "Tricky" Stewart is currently No. 28 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts.

Who would've guessed that Kanye West, who used Auto-Tune on his most recent album, "808s and Heartbreak," was who inspired Jay-Z's latest single, "D.O.A. (Death Of Auto-tune)," off his upcoming album, "The Blueprint 3.""He actually sparked the idea," Jay-Z told Billboard.com about the single. "When he heard the beat he said, 'Man, this is just so hard! This has to be against everything -- no auto-tune, none of that type of stuff!' He didn't know what I was going to do or where I was going to take it, but it was actually his fault."Jay-Z says that the two recorded one track with Auto-Tune previously for "The Blueprint 3," but once "D.O.A." came about, they decided to scrap it. "After we made the 'D.O.A.' record about a month ago, we were like, 'if it's got to go, it's got to go.'"As per his criticism of the egregious overuse of the Pro Tools plug-in, Jay-Z says it's simply part of the hip-hop culture to be out with the old and in with the new. "In hip-hop, our job is once a trend becomes a gimmick, to get rid of it. We've done that since the beginning of time," he explains. "Now people are using Auto-tune even in Wendy's commercials, and it's like, 'Oh no! That's has to go!' It's become part of main culture. The surge in sales of Michael Jackson’s music catalog continued Wednesday with the announcement that his recordings dominated the pop charts for the third consecutive week, and a source told The Times that more than 9 million of Jackson’s albums have been sold worldwide since his death June 25.

Nielsen SoundScan said Jackson’s albums sold 1.1 million copies over the last seven days and had combined to sell an impressive 2.3 million in the U.S. in the nearly three weeks since he died.

On the photographs of Michael Jackson, it looks like there was necrosis on his lower leg where there might have been fluid that went into his lower leg," a possible result of an IV that had leaked into the leg, Dr. Debra Jaliman, a leading dermatologist and spokeswoman for the American Academy of Dermatology, told ABC News.

"It looks like there are multiple puncture points from IV placement," she said.

The wound seen in the photos, which were taken in 2002, could have been a result of contact with highly caustic, acidic fluid that would burn the skin and cause it to turn black, Jaliman said.

"If, in fact, he had an IV here, and the IV fluid, which may have been acidic fluid, went into his skin, it might may have, in fact, destroyed the skin," she said. "That's all dead skin that would then make an ulceration underneath that skin."

In the photos, Jaliman highlighted areas of blue discoloration in Jackson's leg and puncture marks, which she said point to needle entry.
